Pick Two — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 21 June 2026
Pick Two (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a Whot card game by YDZ Labs. This policy explains what information the app handles and why. We keep it minimal: there are no email sign-ups, and we do not sell your data.
Information we collect
- Anonymous identifier. When you first open the app it creates an anonymous account — a random identifier that is not tied to your name, email or phone number. It lets your game and any win record stay with you on your device. You can optionally link a sign-in so your progress survives a reinstall; we never see your password.
- Display name. The name you choose is shown to other players in your games and may appear in a notification to a friend you invite (for example, “X joined your game”). You can change it any time in Settings.
- Usage data. We collect anonymous, aggregated information about how the app is used (such as games started and features used) to understand and improve it. This does not identify you personally.
- Voice (optional). If voice chat is turned on and you choose to speak, your microphone audio is sent in real time to the other players in your game. It is relayed live and is not recorded or stored by us.
- Notifications. If you allow notifications, your device is registered to receive them so we can let you know when a friend joins a game you host. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
- Diagnostics. We collect crash and performance information to help us find and fix problems. This is technical information about the app and your device — not the content of your games.
How we use your information
We use this information only to run the game, connect you with other players, send the notifications you have allowed, keep the app stable and improve it over time. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it.
How your information is shared
We do not sell your information or share it for advertising. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate the app — for example hosting, analytics, crash diagnostics, push notifications and real-time voice — and only so they can provide those services to us. Some providers may process data outside your country. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Data retention and deletion
Online games are temporary: game state is kept only as long as needed to run and recover a game, and is not used to build a profile of you. Because the app uses an anonymous account, the simplest way to remove your data is to sign out or uninstall the app, which discards the identifier on your device. You can also email us to request deletion of any data associated with you, and we will take care of it.
Children
Pick Two is a general-audience card game and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app evolves. The “last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
